A 32 year old man from North Bay and a 30 year woman from Sturgeon Falls are facing several charges after a fight and stabbing incident at a Second Avenue East residence around 2 am Sunday.

Police say while a couple was being introduced to a man, he punched a male victim, with a fight ensuing.

A window and railing were broken during the altercation.

Police say the attacker then stabbed the victim in the shoulder, stomach and head, with a female visitor jumping on the male attacker.

She was allegedly struck with a broken spindle, had a knife held to her throat and was threatened.

The male victim was able to flea with the male attacker venturing off to find the injured man.

It’s further alleged the female victim was threatened and prevented from leaving by another woman.

 

Meantime, a 39 year old North Bay woman is facing break and enter and breach charges after an incident Friday.

it’s alleged she entered an unlocked garage on Prince Edward Drive and took numerous items.

Police say she left in a rented truck and was located at a garden centre nearby attempting to steal other items.

Numerous items were seized from the truck that are believed to be stolen from various properties.
