It’s almost T-shirt weather!

Today’s high is expected to reach 8 degrees in North Bay.

While that’s still about 7 degrees shy of the 1990 record for November 28th (14.7 degrees) it’s still well above seasonal.

Too bad there’s also 2-4 mm of light rain in the forecast this afternoon too.

David Phillips, Senior Climatologist with Environment Canada, says there’s a reason for all of this.

“There is a storm from the Prairies, a low pressure area moving through the northern part of the province, and what it does, it draws up some warm air from the United States,” he says.

The average high for this time of the year in North Bay is minus 1.
