For the second time this week a snow squall watch has been issued for the North Bay area.

Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for lake effect snow squalls from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay to develop overnight and continue into Friday.

Local snowfall amounts near 15 cm are possible in the heaviest snow squalls.

The agency says snow squall watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the formation of bands of snow that could produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
