An information picket was held yesterday afternoon (Tuesday) outside the Children’s Aid Society administration building downtown.

Debbie Hill is the president of CUPE Local 2049.

She says there are several important issues of concern that need to be addressed, including provincial under-funding and employee workload.

Hill says they’re also concerned about unstable working conditions as there are cases of employees with 30 years experience being forced to relocate to stay employed.

She hopes CAS board members will support the workers in both Nipissing and Parry Sound in their fight.
