After the relatively seasonal temperatures over the past couple of days, we’re headed back into the deep freeze.

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the North Bay area.

The agency says we can expect wind chill values near or below minus 40 this morning (Thursday) then again overnight tonight into tomorrow morning, then again tomorrow night into Saturday morning.

The forecast is calling for a high of minus 21 degrees today, minus 25 tomorrow and minus 24 on Saturday.

Sunday’s high temperature is expected to be minus 10 with minus 2 the high on Monday.
