natuarl gas meter (winter)Natural gas customers locally are enjoying a price drop to start the year.
New natural gas rates came into effect on Janaury 1st for Union Gas customers, including those here in the North Bay area.
The Ontario Energy Board says there is an increase in transportation and storage costs along with the gas price adjustment.
But, that’s being offset by a decrease to the price of natural gas, delivery costs and the Transportation Price Adjustment.
It means an overall drop to the annual bill.
The OEB says the decrease amounts to just over $48 a year.
That’s based on an average system supply consumer using 2,200 cubic meters per year.
