Ski Hill Preparing to Open Soon

With all this snow in North Bay, you would imagine that the one business who would be ecstatic, would be the Laurentian Ski Hill.

But Trish Pecore, the General Manager of the Ski Hill, says they would have loved to have gotten this snow after the man-made snow was placed on the hill.

They also don’t need snow as much as they need colder temperatures.

Pecore says they would have also preferred the snow to be a little wetter, as right now it doesn’t pack well and the wind is carrying too much away.

She says they have snow being made on three of the runs right now and are also starting to have more hills and less brown areas.

Pecore says they should have an idea of when they can open the ski hill later this week.
