police lightsA domestic-related incident yesterday (Monday) has led to charges, including forcible confinement, assault and mischief, for a 44 year old North Bay man.

It’s alleged that after a heated argument a 38-year old woman was prevented from leaving their shared residence and was assaulted before she was able to leave.

It’s further alleged, the home was damaged by the accused, who’s name is not being release to protect the victim’s identity.

Police say there is help for victims of domestic violence.

They say call 911 in an emergency situation.
