We’re only into the third month of the year, but North Bay area OPP have already charged 13 drivers with speeding by 50 or more km/h.

Police say most have been male, in their teens or early 20’s.

The latest three were charged this past weekend after vehicles were stopped on Highway 11.

Powassan OPP report a 22 year old Callander man was charged after police say a vehicle was travelling nearly 60 km/h over the speed limit Friday night in the Callander area.

OPP also say a 17 year old male from Powassan was charged, after a vehicle was clocked going over 70 km/h over the speed limit around 2 am Saturday in Powassan.

A 21 year old man from Thorold was charged after a vehicle was stopped in Callander, just before 10 o’clock Saturday night.
