Nominations are Open for Volunteer Awards

By their nature volunteers don’t support local organizations for recognition they do it because they want to help.

Regardless, It’s the time of year when nominations are being accepted for the provincial volunteer service awards.

This year’s provincial volunteer service awards will be handed out in 36 communities including North Bay. 

The annual honor has recognized 240,000  volunteers since the program started 29 years ago.

The 2016 awards will be handed out in 3 dozen communities including North Bay 

The deadline to nominate someone is January 25th with the ceremony here at the end of May.
