The North Bay Battalion are on the road to Kingston for game one of their playoff series with the Frontenacs tonight.

Assistant Coach Adam Dennis says the Troops slogan for the post-season, which has been printed on t-shirts for the team is ‘don’t make excuses, make results’.

“We know we’re in for a tight battle here with Kingston, they’re a very skilled and very good hockey team, but we have a lot of confidence in our group and we’re ready to put our best foot forward,” he says.

Dennis says Kingston has a lethal powerplay, so they’ll have to limit their penalties.

He also says they’ll have to get traffic in front of their goalie and try and slow the Frontenacs down.

Dennis says after missing the post-season last year, they’re glad to be back.

But, there are more goals to achieve.

“I think once you’re satisfied in this game, that’s when you’re ready to leave it, but we’re not satisfied with where we’re at, we want to do some damage here and extend our season,” he says.
