The Battalion had an auspicious start as the Barrie Colts got 2 goals in the latter half of the first period to take a 2-0 lead in Barrie.

But the Troops stormed back with a goal from Steve Harland just before the end of the first period, 2 goals in the second Mike Amadio and Justin Brazeau, and 2 more goals by Kyle Wood and Mathew Santos in the third. This gave the North Bay Battalion their 5-2 win over the teams division rivals.

Jake Smith made 23 saves on 25 shots in the game.

The team is now tied for 4th place in the eastern conference with the Peterborough Petes.

The Battalion will be back in action on the 29th of December, where they will be taking on the Owen Sound Attack.
