Corrections officers and province not talking

The clock is ticking on a possible strike by corrections officers across the province.

OPSEU has requested a no board report from the Ministry of Labour following negotiations which resulted in no agreement on a new contract. 

Once a no board report is filed the union will be in a legal strike position 17 days later.

Meantime, local corrections officers will be holding a protest in front of the North Bay District Jail next Tuesday at noon.
