Bruman to continue operating the Merrick Landfill

For a price of $1.2-million a year, Bruman Construction will maintain their role of looking after the Merrick Landfill.

Chair of Engineering and Works Tanya Vrebosch says they were awarded the contract to this company whose bid price was comparable to two other companies.

She says the rate could actually fluctuate year by year, based on the Consumer Price Index.

Vrebosch says Bruman Construction have maintained operation of the landfill for close to 20 years.
