The North Bay Battalion will be replenishing their roster at the OHL Priority Selection tomorrow (Saturday).

Director of Hockey Operations Stan Butler says their choice will depend on who gets drafted in the first eight picks, and who doesn’t.

He says they’ll be choosing the best player available.

“There’s eight people in front of us that decide first and when I see what they do I’ll decide what we’re going to do,” he says.

Butler says they also have two second round picks and those will be important choices.

He believes a lot of local players will be chosen as well if last year is any indication.

“There’s a group that will be drafted. We had a good number of 01’s drafted and I think there’ll be a good number of 02’s drafted. I would like to see more North Bay kids develop,” he says.

Butler says the scouts will be meeting today to plan their strategy for tomorrow.
