Enforcement Blitz by North Bay Police results in charges

North Bay Police say they conducted a distracted driving enforcement blitz at John and McIntyre on Thursday.

A plain clothes officer conducted the blitz.

Police say in 90 minutes, five motorists received provincial offense notices for distracted driving. 

Four were using their mobile device while stopped at a red light, three were texting, one was holding a mobile device and one was taking a photograph with a mobile device.

Police say the fine for distracted driving is $490.
