Foul play suspected in sudden death

North Bay Police report a 39 year old man is in custody after the body of a 39 year old woman was located in a residence on the 100 block of Duke Street West.

Foul play is suspected.

Police were dispatched to the residence just after 4 pm following a 911 call reporting a suspected domestic violence occurrence.

When police arrived they located the woman’s body in the premises.

The North Bay Police Service is withholding her name pending notification of next of kin.

Police say there is no concern for public safety and the investigation continues.

The coroner has been contacted.
