Daiene VernileThe province is investing in in programs to help young people find jobs.

Kitchener-Centre MPP Daiene Vernile made a visit to Innovation Initiatives Ontario North at Canadore College to announce $27-million of funding over two years for four programs across the province.

Vernile is also the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Research and Innovation, and she says the programs have already created thousands of jobs.

Those programs include the youth business accelerator program, as well as the youth investment accelerator fund and smarstart seed fund.youth jobs strategy

Ashten Hughes is the co-owner of EuphoricLens in North Bay.

She says they got started because of the funding available within these programs.

She says her company allows users to take a 3D tour inside homes that are on the market. Hughes says that inspiration came after growing up with parents as real estate agents.

Brandon Beach is the other co-owner of EuphoricLens, and he says they could use this technology to go beyond just tours of homes.

The $27-million in funding is spread out over two years to four different programs.
