Unifor lockoutTalks involving the ONTC and Unifor Local 103 resumed this week, but ended yesterday (Thursday) as the parties remain apart on certain issues.

The ONTC says it initiated the negotiations this week in an effort to reach an agreement.

President and CEO Corina Moore says, “There was significant progress over the past few days and good discussion around key issues took place,”

She says they continue to reach out to the union to conclude negotiations and says they remain committed to reaching an agreement.

Unifor represents 303 unionized employees working in clerical, on-board service, stores, and shops at various locations throughout northern Ontario.

The company says they remain available to continue discussions.
