North Bay PoliceSexual Offences, assaults, and robberies were down year over year.

This is included the crime stats for the month of October.

Deputy Police Chief Shawn Devine says that continues a trend they have been seeing in 2015.

He says if you look over the first ten months of the year there is a steady decline in those numbers.

Devine says he would like to see those numbers a lot lower overall.

In comparison to 2014 – sexual offences are down by 45 and assaults are down by 29.

Devine says there were almost 2500 calls for service in the month with 96 motor vehicle accidents investigated.

21 people were injured in those accidents.
