Weekend event raises funds for the Alzheimer Society

The local Alzheimer Society benefitting from a recent event at the Empire Living Centre to the tune of over 2100 dollars.

Last weekend, 300 people visited the Christmas Bazaar, Craft and Bake Sale and purchased items.

The funds raised support local frontline programs and support services.

Over 1500 people have been diagnosed with the illness in the district.

Meantime, the society will also be raising funds through the annual Dinner with the Battalion event coming up in February at Cecil’s Eatery and Beer Society.
